We encourage all children to engage in learning beyond the classroom. We celebrate these outcomes through our weekly reward assemblies. Children in Years 1-6 can earn points for their extended learning to contribute towards their Childrenās University graduation, which takes place in July each year. One point is worth one hour of additional learning time.
Points can be earned by attending school clubs, evidencing skills out of school such as swimming, dancing, martial arts, tennis, etc. They can also be earned by visiting local attractions ā additional points are awarded for completing activities at these sites or writing about the visit.
Certificates are earned as follows:
Bronze | Silver | Gold | |
Childrenās University Award | 30 points | 65 points | 100 points |
Childrenās University Certificate | 130 points | 165 points | 200 points |
Childrenās University Diploma | 230 points | 265 points | 300 points |
Childrenās University Degree | 330 points | 365 points | 400 points |
By engaging in Childrenās University, children get the opportunity to aspire to be the best that they can be. They get to experience the university environment as part of their graduations and realise that these opportunities are real to them.
